I’m a Canadian French from Montreal, this recipe is one of the first I learned as a kid and can be served traditional style with REAL maple syrup on top or cold with rolled ice cream and chocolate syrup on top for dessert.
Ingredients for real French crepes
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups of milk
Instructions for real French crepes
- In a bowl, combine the flour, egg and milk.
- Heat a large skillet or crepes pan over medium-high heat. Spray the pan with non-stick cooking spray. Pour about 1/3 cup of batter into the pan, lift the pan and flip it by twisting your wrist, spreading a THIN amount of PAPER into the pan.
- Flip the crepe when it starts to boil.
- When cooked, remove it and repeat this process with the remaining batter.
