Ingredients of Palak Rice
Puree:
- ½ cup Red onion roughly chopped
- ½ inch Ginger
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 1 Green chilies
- 1 ½ cups Spinach
Rice:
- 1 cup Long grain rice
- 2 tablespoon Oil
- 1 Bay leaf
- 2 Cloves
- 2 Green cardamoms
- 1 inch Cinnamon stick
- ½ cup Carrot cubed
- ½ cup Green peas
- Salt
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 ¾ cup Water
How to Make Palak Rice

Rinse rice for many times till water is not cloudy anymore.

Soak into water for half an hour.

Drain the water.

Take an onion, ginger, garlic, green chili and spinach into the mixing bowl and make a smooth paste.

Heat the oil in a pan.

Once hot add bay leaf, green cardamoms, cloves, cinnamon stick.

Cook for 45 seconds.

Add prepared spinach puree.

Now add peas, carrot, salt and garam masala.

Add drained rice and mix.

Now add water.
-
Cover with the lid and cook for 20 minutes.

After turn off the stove, rest for 10 minutes.
